Dutch Blitz
BRANDING
Prompt: Game Redesign Passion Project
Media: Print

Client: My family; I grew up playing this game with family and friends and designed it with them in mind and dutch items we grew up with in our home and community.

Challenge: The original game lacked functionality because of the low contrast of the colors and text on the cards. In a game with quick speeds, this hindered the ability to read and identify cards. The branding also lacked cultural elements and a playful feeling. Instruction manuals are also boring, text-heavy, and a dread to read and figure out.

Solution: I created a new color scheme with high contrasts, bright colors, and researched Dutch symbols and elements for the backs of cards. I also re-designed the instruction packet to include imagery, step-by-step instructions, a brand story, and a quick read overview to make it more inviting and less of a dread to learn a new game.

Role: Created the entirety of the project
